Soccer Shots

I also forgot, here is the website for soccer shots. If your student is coming this summer you should sign them up! It is an 8 week course, 45 minutes once a week. My son Noah did it this Spring and loved it! I heard the coach is awesome too=) If you scroll down to the bottom Sonshine school is there. Make sure to pick the right age group=)

Last week of school!!!!

I hope everyone is off to a good summer. The graduation and Musical went great on Wednesday, I was so proud of the students! They worked very hard on it. If you have pictures or video can you send them to me and I will share with everyone=)Thx

I still have some parents who have not returned their book bags back to me. Please, when you find them can you return them, these are books that I bought with my own money.

Our field day was so much fun! We went on a walk to the pond, sadly there was no turtles, but none the less fun! Then we came back and had snack. We celebrated Lilian’s and Dylan’s birthdays. Then we played some games like tug a war, clean your bed room, and kick ball. They had a lot of fun with it. Here are some pictures of what we did and pictures of the students and me. (I was going to print them but didn't get to=( )

Good afternoon parents!

WOW! We have 3 days of school left! Miss Jones and I were laughing because it seems that kindergarteners do not understand the concept of school ending. However, I think today they are starting to get it! They were very antsy and ready for a break. Luckily next week is a very easy week.

·         Monday we are practicing for our program, having a MATH party, and cleaning our desks out.  

·         Tuesday is our field day. We will leave to K-line at 8:45 to go for a walk to the pond, play some games, and pass out awards. We will return at 11:45. Original dismissal was 11:30 on Tuesday, however we changed it to 12:00 for a little extra time at the park.

·         Wednesday is our graduation and musical! Even though our program does not start until 9:30, please still have students here on time at 8:30. We will be signing our memory books and saying our last goodbyes for summer=) After the graduation we are doing the book fair, and food and drinks. You can take student home any time after graduation, but if they are staying we will be in school until 12:00, then they can go to daycare.

*We need snacks/deserts on graduation day if anyone would like to bring some. We have cupcakes right now.

* Students can bring in their backpacks and folders on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday students will not need them.

May 30th

Good Afternoon!

I forgot to mention that today was volunteer appreciation day and we would be doing a taco bar for lunch, so don’t be worried if your child comes home with their whole lunch!

Graduation

Graduation is coming up in a week and a half, on the last day of school! Graduation will start at 9:30. Students will be performing their musical and afterwards walk to receive their diplomas. This is a half day; parents may take their children after the graduation unless they are staying for aftercare. Please invite grandparents or anyone else you think would enjoy coming! We will be doing cookies and drinks after the graduation.

Next Monday or Tuesday after school I will be at school putting together the props for our musical. When I find the exact time I will email everyone if people want to come help. I think it will only take an hour or so if you are able to come.

Lastly, on graduation day we will be reciting Psalm 23, which the students have practicing for months. This week and next week in Bible we are working on Psalm 23 only, so you won’t see any bible verse slips being sent home.

Books:

-If you haven’t done so already please return book bags to me.

-Last week notices for library books were sent home, please return these books as soon as possible. If you are not able to find them the cost of the books were on your slip.

Last Meeting...

During the last week of school I will be sending home the original report cards for parents to keep (You do not have to sign and return). Like always I am open to meeting with any parent who would like to.  …

May 26th

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Weekend. My family had a great time camping, even through the Washington rain=)

The students had fun at the zoo even through the continuous rain! I hope none of the students caught any colds! Next year we will know to prepare for anything. Here are the pictures I was able to take. I need to find a way so others can upload pictures...

Graduation day and Help

  On graduation day the students will be part of an Oceans Program. Their parts were sent home last week. They were put in the "Bring to school" pouch. We are practicing at school, but if you can practice at home as well that will be a great help. Thank you! Also, I will be putting a few costumes together for the program, an octopus, some star fish, a shark, and water. If any one would like to help email me, maybe a few of us can get together after school and work on it together=)

  All library books are due this week. Mrs. Johnson will send out book notices next week.

May 16th

Good afternoon parents,

Oh my, we only have 3.5 weeks left! I cannot believe that we are almost done! The next 3 weeks will go by pretty fast too. We have our zoo field trip next Friday. It is helpful if you bring the slip and money before Friday because the day of the field trip is pretty busy. The week after that is Memorial Day, and we will have Monday off. Whew!
