1-13-14
I hope everyone has had a great start to their New
Years. Our class had a great first week, and it flew by! This week we did a lot
of assessments, and they will continue into next week with our Dibel and CBM
Tests. The students are doing great though; it is really fun to see how far
they have progressed in 4 short months! As the year progresses we will start
focusing on reading leveled books, writing letters and stories, and doing addition and subtraction problems.
Focus:
Our focuses for this week will stay the same.
Notes:
-As everyone probably knows the flu has been
going around, so I just wanted to remind parents to wash student’s hands often,
make sure they are wearing appropriate attire for outside play, and get lots of
rest!
-The 29th is a teacher work day to
complete report cards. If you would like to meet for a parent conference please
let me know, otherwise the report cards will be sent home and asked to return.
I personally like parent conferences because it gives us time to discuss in
person how things are going and answer questions without interruptions, even if
it is for a short 20 minute conference.
-The 28th is our school open house!
Our class will be sending home invitations, but please put it on your calendars
now! It is a fun time for the kids to show you around the room and show off all
their hard work.
Mrs. Lee
