It was our first full week back to school and I
think the kids were a little more tired by the end!
Last week in reading we continued to work on our stamina in Daily 5,
they are doing great! On Monday we got to read with the 2nd and 3rd graders. There are some cute pictures below. Next week we will introduce the I-Pads and then our whole
Daily 5 will be up and running. After this we will be able to start working
with students in small groups which will be a lot fun. Some things to work on
in reading are Letters, sounds, rhyming, and beginning sounds.
In math we started our curriculum and our stations. The
first day was a little rocky but it’s getting better=) You have to take everything
slowly in Kindergarten. Some things you can work on at home in math are counting
to 50, or if they can do that 100, and writing their numbers to 10.
We finished up our all about me unit this week and will be
starting our community helpers group next week, the fire station will help us
kick it off!
Next week in Bible we will be learning about Noah. Our Bible
verse will be “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.”
Ephesians 6:1
