Dear Parents,
Last week was amazing!!  Our classroom celebrated both the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day last Friday on Feb. 12th.  It was exciting to see how creative our students were with their 100 day project. I loved seeing each child present to the class what items they brought to share.  Some highlights were 100 Legos in the shape of 100,  a dinosaur diorama, a beaded box, glued Cheerios in the shape of a heart and the number 100.  Thanks for helping your child with their projects, they really did fantastic!!

Our Art project last week was," what will I look like when I am 100 years old?"  We did this with Mrs. Bates class.  Our pictures are in the hall.  Each one is hilarious and yet completely unique to each student.  Check it out!

Reminders for next week:

Please remember to be on-time all next week.  Students who are not tardy will earn an extra recess with Mrs. Warner.  Last week, many of you were right on time and it was nice to start our class without interruptions!

Monday, Feb. 29th is our class chapel.  Your child will be performing a skit up front.  We will be practicing each day during Bible.  We would love to have you join us for chapel at 10am that day.  Each child will also be bringing home a small part that you will need to practice with them all this week.  I can't wait to see them perform next week!  Bring your cameras!😀

Parents check your child's OWL folders, this week's homework is inside.  Remember to return it no later than Friday.  Included is a Letter Fluency Sheet.  Practice each day for one minute and record their score on the sheet. The goal is 62.

Tuesday, March 8th is our field trip to the Children's  Museum from 9:30-2:30pm.  Look for a permission slip which will be coming out soon.  As always, parent helpers are always wanted!!  Let us know if you can join us that day.

Thanks for all you do parents!  I hope you had a fantastic Winter Break with your child.

Blessings,

Mrs. Palmer and Mrs. Lee
