April 22, 2016

Happy Friday Kindergarten Parents,

We are having another exciting week in our classroom!  The beautiful weather has been a special bonus for us.  I wish we could move our desks outside, but we did sneak in a few extra minutes at recess to catch up on our lack of vitamin D!

We have a lot events happening in the next few months so I am repeating them again as an extra reminder:

4/28- take you child to work day. Please let us know if your child will not be in school this day. Thank you!

4/26- Writers Celebration! All parents are welcome to come and share in this fun with us! We will hold our celebration at 2:15.

5/6- Mother's Day Tea.

Kindergarten Moms or Grandma's
You are Cordially Invited To A Mother's Day Tea
Time: 8:45-9:45 a.m.
Location:  Lobby Area at School
Please RSVP at your soonest convenience.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!

5/14-  Our annual auction! There is great company and wonderful things to buy! This year the theme is A Night in Italy. A fun event that supports our school, you won't want to miss it!

-The kindergarten class this year will be donating a rainy day basket. To make our basket we will be needing a bubble umbrella, board games, coloring books and crayons, books, movies, puzzles, and any thing else you think would be perfect for a rainy day. A note will also be sent home next week. Thank you so much for your support! I look forward to seeing how our basket turns out!

6/2- Our whole school zoo field trip! If you would like to volunteer let me know! Permission slips were sent out this week! Because this is a larger field trip we are asking that siblings stay home. Thank you for your understanding!

6/7- Father's Field Day. We will be going to Kline Line park for a Father's Day Field Day. This is a fun day to show appreciation for our Father's while playing some games and having fun!

6/10- last day of school/ Kindergarten Graduation/ half day!

Have a Wonderful and Restful Weekend,

Mrs. Palmer and Mrs. Lee

In celebration of earth day we talked about and experimented with oil spills. (Yes,  I know I was very brave to put large bowls of water in the middle of a kindergarten filled table! )

They experimented with the best ways to clean up an oil spill.

I'm so proud of what they took away from this.  One girl told her mom they need to make less messes so they don't have to use as many paper towels because it's killing the trees! Her mom was on board with this; )
