I'm guessing you guys are like me and wondering where the last 3 months went! I can't believe that after we get back we only have 3, yes 3, weeks until Christmas Break!! We have a lot planned for those 3 weeks, practicing our Gingerbread Man Play, learning about the birth of Christ, some fun science and crafts in there, plus of course math, reading, writing, and so much more!
*We will focus on blending and segmenting our words.
*We start our spelling!! All of our words are rhyming or as we say word families. This will help the students with blending and segmenting their words as well=) This is an important thing to practice each night with your child.
* When we return I will also be sending our book bags with kids to put all their little readers in and their sight words. You can also think of it as a homework bag. Read 1 book a night, practice their sight word ring, and the spelling.

We are finishing up our teen numbers and beginning to learn how to take apart and put together numbers (beginning addition and subtraction!!)

Starting our How-to unit!! This is a fun unit where students get to learn how to put events in order.
