10/27/2017

Happy Friday! We had a fun week in kindergarten! We finished up our unit on Community and we began learning about bats! We have also been integrating more technology into our day.  The students have been doing great!

In Bible we learned about how God can give us inward strength.  We also focused on how slow obedience is the same as no obedience and how to have cheerful obedience!  This is one of my favorite ones to teach because after the students are so sweet about saying "Okay Mrs. Lee" whenever I ask them to do anything.  We even role played how to have cheerful obedience wgen our parents say it's bed time or when they ask us to brush our teeth. I hope you see some of this at home:)

Reading-
Next week in reading we will have our first unit test!  This will come home on Friday. We are also working on sequence of events.  So as you read with your child an idea is to talk about what happened first,  next and last.

Math-
We are finishing our ch. 2 test Tues on #s to 10. Our last 2 lessons are tricky as they have to count ordinal (first, second, third, ect). I told students if they turn their homework in Monday they will get a prize from me:)

Writing -
I have been introducing more writing words to match our pictures. Keep practicing those letters and sight words at home,  this will help them a lot as they begin to write:)

Bible-
Story- young Samuel
Lesson- we can serve others
Fruit of the spirit- patience and joy.

Science-
