May 2nd

Happy Friday! We had a wonderfully busy week=) We have been getting ready for our Mother's Day Tea Party, practicing for our Graduation concert, finishing our Frog Unit, and all of our other fun learning.

Kindercamp-
Today we had the pleasure of having pre-school students come into our class to see what a day in Kindergarten looks like. Each student had a buddy for the day. Our kindergartners read to the pre-preschoolers (I was so proud of them!), we made a craft together based on an Eric Carle book, did math stations, and did a writing together. Here are some pictures of our day.

Notes:
1.    Mother’s Day Tea Party is Friday!!!It will start at 10:00. It will probably last about 1.5 hours. We will have tea, cake, perform a little play, and give our Mothers their gifts. IF YOU ARE COMING PLEASE EMAIL ME, THANK YOU!
2.  Permission slips for the zoo were sent home, please check folders=)
3.   Our auction is in 2 weeks! Our class has been working hard on taking the pictures for our class donation (It is harder than you think to get students positioned to take pictures!). If you can donate money for this project please let me know. The cost will be from printing the pictures, buying a nice picture frame, and buying magnets to sell separately. Thank you!

4.  If you would like your child to wear sunscreen when we go outside on hot days you can bring a spray lotion for them to leave in their cubbies. We can apply it during morning recess and in aftercare.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
