Happy Friday!

We just wrapped up another fun and educational week at Sonshine Elementary!  We are learning all about the Pilgrims, being thankful and working on Thanksgiving books during Social Studies this week.  We also read a funny book this morning called Thanksgiving At The Barn.  It was a 3-D pop-up book that included rhyming words that the students loved!

Week At A Glance

Reading- The letter Aa.  We also reviewed our sight words during small group time, and read mini books about Hayrides. We also did Read to Self, Read to Someone, and Word Work in addition to small groups.

Math-  We are working on the teen numbers.  Please continue to review this concept with your child.  Many were struggling with how to write the numbers 13-19.  They want to say the 3 comes first and then the 1 etc.  We were also doing them using  ten frames.  See your child's work to help you visualize. :)

Social Studies- The Pilgrims and the Long Winter.

Bible-  Young Samuel
